§ 1-12. Electronic access to public records

  • (a) The board of county commissioners hereby establishes a method for the custodian of public records stored in the county's mainframe computer system to provide access to such public records by remote electronic access in accordance with § 119.085, F.S.

    (b) The board of county commissioners may determine and fix by resolution such fees and charges for network access to the county's mainframe computer system providing public access by remote electronic means to selected public records in the custody and control of the clerk of the courts for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit and the property appraiser. Such fees shall be limited to the direct and indirect costs of providing such access.

    (c) All persons and entities who desire access to public records by remote electronic means shall execute a contract with the entity selected by the county to act as the value-added network carrier to provide the services described herein.
